  • Christine Guerra, Office manager

    847-382-HOPE (4673) ext. 310 admin@sccnw.org Christine Guerra, a graduate of Robert Morris University, joined Samaritan in September 2016. Christine had previously worked with many of our Samaritan staff members at Family Services in McHenry for over six years and is excited to be working in Behavioral Health arena again. More recently, Christine worked at Comprehensive Urologic Care in Barrington as their Office Manager. She was also a board member of the Northern Illinois Medical Managers group. Christine has lived and worked in the McHenry County area most her life. She currently resides in Crystal Lake with her husband and two grown sons.

  • Dr. Melissa Katz

    Clinical Director

    Dr. Melissa Katz, Clinical Director, is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who provides individual and family services to children, adolescents and adults. She received her masters and doctorate in clinical psychology with a child and adolescent specialization from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology. Melissa’s pediatric experiences include Mt. Sinai Children’s Hospital, Riveredge Hospital, and Advocate Illinois Masonic Pediatric Developmental Center. Her areas of specialization focus on children with neurodevelopmental disorders such as ADHD and ASD; behavioral disorders; early childhood intervention; pediatric anxiety and mood disorders; and adults with OCD and anxiety. Melissa combines evidence-based treatment with systemic and dynamic approaches that focus on the unique needs and strengths of every child and family. In addition to clinical work, Melissa also plays an active role in clinical training and community based interventions. She has developed several training programs for graduate students in psychology and was an adjunct faculty member at the doctoral level. Melissa serves on the board of the National Alliance on Mental Health (NAMI) in McHenry County and is the preschool coordinator for Moms of McHenry County.

  • Lori Parrish, Executive Director

    Lori Parrish has her B.A. in Psychology and a M.A. in Teaching, and an Evidenced-Based Coaching Certification. She worked for 10 years in the fields of Crisis Intervention and Behavioral Health. She also worked for 20 years in Education as a first-grade teacher, then as a school and district administrator. Lori is a 25-year resident of McHenry County and serves as an elected official on the McHenry County Board, is a Commissioner for Crystal Lake Police and Fire Departments, a member of the Crystal Lake and McHenry Area Chambers of Commerce, and an alumna of Leadership Greater McHenry County. She is a Life and Leadership Coach and enjoys helping people focus on individual and team growth and development. Lori is married and has one son. Lori can be reached at Lparrish@sccnw.org
