Dr. Melissa Katz, Clinical Director, is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist who provides individual and family services to children, adolescents and adults. She received her masters and doctorate in clinical psychology with a child and adolescent specialization from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology. Melissa’s pediatric experiences include Mt. Sinai Children’s Hospital, Riveredge Hospital, and Advocate Illinois Masonic Pediatric Developmental Center. Her areas of specialization focus on children with neurodevelopmental disorders such as ADHD and ASD; behavioral disorders; early childhood intervention; pediatric anxiety and mood disorders; and adults with OCD and anxiety. Melissa combines evidence-based treatment with systemic and dynamic approaches that focus on the unique needs and strengths of every child and family. In addition to clinical work, Melissa also plays an active role in clinical training and community based interventions. She has developed several training programs for graduate students in psychology and was an adjunct faculty member at the doctoral level. Melissa serves on the board of the National Alliance on Mental Health (NAMI) in McHenry County and is the preschool coordinator for Moms of McHenry County.
