Katie received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Michigan in addition to a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Judson University.
With 10 years of experience in the field, Katie has worked in a variety of settings including schools, residential facilities, and agencies. Katie sees clients of all ages, and her clinical interests include parenting issues, anxiety, depression, ADHD, Autism, LGBTQ+, and emotional dysregulation difficulties. Katie assists clients with Bariatric/Metabolic surgery preparation and recovery, too.
Whether helping an individual through a difficult time or assisting families when typical behavior modification techniques are not working, Katie uses a Person-Centered approach to create a warm, non-judgmental environment in which clients can feel safe, heard, and understood.
Katie uses techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), and Relational Neuroscience. She is comfortable incorporating spiritual and religious beliefs at the client’s request.
Katie can see clients in-person or remotely.
