Olivia is a licensed professional counselor who has a background working with children and adolescents at non-profit and private-independent practices. Olivia earned her bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Illinois State University and her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Concordia University-Chicago.
Olivia provides individual talk and play therapy to children and adolescents dealing with a range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma and loss.
Olivia combines CBT as well as a person-centered approach in her work with clients. She focuses on mindfulness practices including breathing techniques, guided imagery, stress management, emotional regulation, and positive self-talk. She believes that a nurturing, supportive, counseling environment best fosters personal understanding, confidence, and growth.
Olivia is available at the Algonquin office.
Olivia accepts self-pay and sliding scale clients.
