Not Accepting New Clients
Rachel M. Menge, LCSW, understands that you might not be feeling your best right now . . . and that finding a therapist can be difficult when you’re struggling with depression, anxiety, or other distressing thoughts and feelings. Rachel’s philosophy is simple: “We are a team, working together, with the goal of helping you feel better.”
Rachel primarily uses a method of therapy known as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT); it is a structured, present-focused approach that focuses on the ways our thoughts, feelings, and actions interact and effect our lives. Rachel uses CBT most often because she strongly believes in its ability help people feel better. Rachel offers therapy for adults and adolescents in individual, family, and group settings.
Rachel has more than 10 years of experience in counseling and mental health treatment. She has worked in both hospital and outpatient settings, and she is also trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI). Rachel is a Certified Perinatal Mental Health Professional via Postpartum Support International, too. Outside of Samaritan, Rachel is an Adjunct Professor at a local Master of Social Work (MSW) Program, where she teaches clinical practices. She serves on the Board of Directors for Bstrong Together as well.
Rachel is currently seeing new clients remotely (via Zoom). She will accept new clients in person at the Barrington office after 2/3/2020.
Hours available: Tuesday and Thursday 9 am-5 pm (last appointment = 4 pm).
