Sharon Fu, LPC

Sharon Fu, Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), received her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from National Louis University. She provides psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and adults. Sharon’s areas of practice include the treatment of depression, anxiety/panic, ADHD, behavioral issues, and LGBTQ-related concerns. Sharon also has experience working with survivors of domestic violence. Sharon’s treatment approaches include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to challenge unhelpful thoughts and beliefs; Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to increase emotional and cognitive regulation, and Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT) to find solutions in the present. She also is skilled in the suicide prevention models of QPR and ASIST, and she is a Theraplay-trained clinician as well.

Sharon works at the Algonquin and McHenry offices, and she accepts the following insurance: BCBS PPO, Aetna PPO, and Meridian. She sees self-pay individuals, too.
