About Our Therapy Program

The Samaritan Counseling Center helps people through difficulties like: grief, depression, anxiety, loneliness, marital conflicts, abuse, and family relationships. Our mission has been to help individuals, families and communities achieve spiritual, emotional and physical well-being through professional psychological counseling using the resources of faith. We help individuals gain the skills to enable them to confront the realities of life, develop solutions to conflict and stressful situations, and learn to maintain the growth achieved.

Our counselors—all state-licensed and/or accredited through a professional organization—are held to the highest standards of ethics and confidentiality. Each has one or more Masters degrees and participates in continuing education, peer review, and ongoing supervision. Our staff is committed to healing body, mind and spirit using the resources of faith. They work within the context of each individual’s religious tradition and no attempt is made to impose a particular belief system.

With 12 counselors on staff, we are able to provide counseling for a variety of situations – including individual or one-on-one counseling, couples counseling, family counseling, and counseling specifically for youth and adolescents. Our therapists are dedicated to helping our clients grow beyond their present situation by addressing the mental, emotional, physical and spiritual dimensions of their lives.

We understand your need and we are here to help.

At Samaritan, we recognize that counseling can be expensive, and seemingly out of reach for a person or family in financial hardship. A primary goal of our organization is to ensure that quality, professional counseling services can be affordable. Many of our services are reimbursable using health insurance. If health insurance is not available, or coverage is limited, an adjusted fee can be arranged using monies from our Good Samaritan Fund. This Fund, which subsidizes the fees of individuals and families based on household income, is made possible through the generous donations of community members, churches, businesses, and foundations.

If you would like to help individuals or families as they work to overcome the hardships in their lives, we ask that you consider making a donation to our Good Samaritan Fund.
